How do you broadcast to the Facebook world that you've killed your wife, along with posting the photographic evidence? And then announce that your friends will see you in the news? How do you post tough-guy pix and videos baring your tatted arms while you hold a gun in one hand and a knife in the other, then claim your wife was abusing you? Please tell me that Florida's justice system will not let another man go free on the basis of self-defense for an altercation he could have avoided!
As we see in the passage below, seeking notoriety for murder isn't new. However, today's technology makes it uglier than ever. What's worse is that the amount of comments at the bottom of the news articles that sought to justify this man's actions because of how mean women are or how women of certain nationalities are gold diggers and deserve whatever they get.
"Lamech said to his wives,
'Adah and Zillah! Listen to me!
You wives of Lamech, hear my words!
I have killed a man for wounding me,
a young man for hurting me.
If Cain is to be avenged seven times as much,
then Lamech seventy-seven times!'" (Genesis 4:23-24, NET)
So Lamech wants exponential vengeance exacted upon anyone that seeks his life? His words will come back to haunt him.
"For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Matthew 7:2, KJV
"I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Matthew 12:36-37, KJV
What Cain, Lamech, and every murderer since fail to consider is that just because the Lord doesn't execute justice speedily, doesn't mean it's not coming. God's justice is coming...with interest! Every boastful claim will be silenced and every brutal act will be avenged.
